March will start off with three exciting exhibitions on the agenda, each to display a wonderful mix of artwork across an array of different media. Showcasing artwork from area high school students in a juried exhibition is our 2017 Annual Regional High School Art Exhibition. Featured on display as well, will be area elementary, junior high and high school art educator’s artwork. Also don’t miss the new “Pop-Up Exhibition” from our own portrait instructor Ruthie Akuchie. These exhibitions will be on display and running simultaneously through mid-April during our regular business hours and open to all!
2017 Annual Regional High School Art Exhibition
Opening Reception for The 2017 Annual Regional High School Art Exhibition will be held March 18 from 3 – 5pm. This starts off an annual tradition of displaying talent from our region’s participating High Schools. This exhibition is a great experience for the region’s youth by introducing and exposing them to the experience of a juried exhibition. For the visitor, this show offers a glimpse of local talent, a chance to see original and creative artwork, and enjoyment! On display from March 18 through April 15, this exhibition is sponsored by the Cleveland Financial Group and the Ohio Arts Council and exhibits in our Upper Main Gallery.
On our First Floor Gallery and in conjunction with our Regional High School Art Exhibition, we’ll have artwork showing from area art teachers. The pieces in this collection, submitted by participating art educators, features artwork from elementary, junior high and high school teachers. It is an outstanding assortment of multi-media artwork from teachers in the surrounding school districts that allows art educators an outlet for revealing their own talent. This exhibition is on display from March 18 through April 15.
