Every day is clay day in this class! Most projects in this class will be hand-building yet students will have opportunities to watch demonstrations on the wheel and experiment with throwing with the help of the instructor. Max. of 10 children.

Naming a popular candy or food item is easy, but can you SCLUPT it? Using paper, cardboard, tape, glue and paint, young artists will create a larger than life 3-dimensional sculpture using the paper mache technique to re-create a popular food item! This POP art inspired class will have students sketching, designing, and building their way to a sweet or savory treat!

Families are invited to join Barbara Damron of Queen Bee Puppetry as she brings two love stories to life.  In the Princess on the Pea, an Anderson fairy tale, glove puppets will help tell the story of a prince in search of his true princess. The Elephant and the Butterfly is a fairy tale written by E.E. Cummings for his daughter when she was a very little girl.  In this story, two very different puppet animals fall head over heels in love! This 45 minute performance is free and open to children and all those young at heart.  This puppet show will take place in the Main Gallery upstairs.

No registration required. Children and adults of all ages are welcome!

Do you like to sew and sing? Introduce your child to needle and thread as they create several different kinds of puppets during this sewing and puppetry workshop! Children will learn how to sew simple running stitches to create their puppets and then bring them to life with song. Parents may stay to help their children if desired. Suitable for children in grades 1st-8th. Please make a paid registration by February 10.
