From mud to art! 

The transformation of clay into vessels is incredibly interesting and the journey is worth learning.

 

If you have never played with clay, here is your opportunity to take a short 3 weeks class to realize that your inner artist has an irresistible attraction to clay and create wonderful pieces of art.

Your instructor, Don Snyder of Dragonfly Pottery, a renown ceramicist in the region, will guide you into becoming the artist you aspire to be. Don has an unrivaled patience with his students and will communicate his passion for clay.

 By popular demand we have added another session on november 5- 7h30 for your convenience.

Whether you decide to keep it year round or just for the holidays this Fir representation in clay is sure to make a statement for the occasion.

Made out of a clay slab you will learn to make this conical evergreen. Your instructor, Pia Douglas, will guide you in every step of the way. The tools and templates utilized makes this really easy for you to succeed in your creation. Different sizes are available from 12 to 18 inches for you to choose. Pick the glaze color of your choice .

Put a light inside and enjoy!

The drying and firing time takes 2 to 3 weeks.

Kids & Clay – Gnomes of the Land – December

By popular demand these darling gnomes are coming back. Easy to make and soooo cute! Children will engrave their names within the decoration of the little hats which makes them a keepsake for generations to come.

Due to its popularity we want to make sure that your child has a chance to make a little gnome so we have open 2 workshops back to back.

The gnomes will be ready to pick up at the end of the following week.

Let your child create and play with clay!

It’s a wonderful time of the year.

Students will make ornaments to close the year 2020 and add another keepsake to their trees or make a present to their favorite person.

After creating a selection of clay ornaments with texture, sayings, and shapes, the  pieces will be decorated with glazes and fired. Just in time for the holidays.

Knife Painting Acrylic on Slate

Tis’ the season to paint winter scenery!

Knife Painting on a slate is an experience of its very own and it is much different from canvas!  

It is really a fun way to paint. You do not need detailing, nor drawing. Join Robin, your instructor, as she guides you step-by-step into this serene country barn scene in the snow.

For the safety of everyone we recommend social distancing and masks are required. Due to Covid-19 we can only accommodate a maximum of 10 people for the class, so register soon!
