Open to all levels, this class focuses on making
gem-set jewelry. Your stone setting project will cover basic small scale metalsmithing skills, which include sawing, filing, sanding, soldering, forming, and bending. Beginners will learn bezel setting flat-backed stones, while advanced students can choose to set faceted stones. Bring your own gems or buy them from the instructor. You can make a ring, pendant, or link bracelet. Copper and Brass are provided, but students can purchase silver if desired. The studio will provide all the necessary tools.
