Roger is our Events & Sales Coordinator with vast experience in wedding and party planning. Roger has owned his own business for many years and is also a buyer for our Gallery Shop. Please contact Roger to plan your wedding ceremony, reception, graduation, or special event.
Jerry L. Francl
Jerry serves as the Mansfield Art Center’s Operations Director, Gallery Shop Manager, IT Specialist, & Membership Coordinator as well as the Curator for our exhibitions. He is a graduate of North Central State College, and has a background in Business Administration, Information Technologies, and Graphic Design. Jerry is also a professional photographer and exhibits his work regularly.
Marketing and Development Director

Susan is our Marketing/Development Director and coordinates public relations, advertising, special events, development and the volunteer program. Her experience includes 25+ years as a retail executive with a focus on human resources and development, merchandising and operations. She is a graduate of Ashland University with a B.S. in Art Education and Painting and has studied at Ohio Northern University, University, of Bridgeport, Michigan State and University of Georgia. Susan is the past president of the board for the Mansfield Art Center and currently serves as a member of the Richland County Foundation Women’s Fund Advisory Committee and the downtown Mansfield ArtSector Committee.
Lucas works in the gallery shop on a part time basis and is a familiar face in our studios. He is a lifelong artist that loves using non-traditional materials. Some of his major projects include a pair of 7’ diameter mirrors for a high-end bakery in Seoul and an orrery sculpture currently in Fox Studios permanent collection. Lucas is an accomplished and published poet and is co-owner of Lucah Designs – a business dealing in antiques, custom home furnishing and original art.
Gallery Sales & Studio Instructor
Emily works in the gallery shop on a part time basis and teaches some of our studio classes. Her experience is in teaching art education in Youngstown and Wooster and has designed curriculum, organized and participated in community art events at Wayne Center for the Arts. Emily received her BS in Art Education from Youngstown State University
Debra Weaver, PhD

Debra, our new program director is a lifelong learner, sculptor, educator and leader.
She will be leading our art education programs as well as developing programming for the Tyger STEAM project with Mansfield City Schools. Debra’s plan is to develop programs that are innovative, inclusive and appealing to our community. She has been a principal in the Toledo Public School system and has worked with non-profits as an advocate for at-risk youth and adults and individuals with disabilities. Debra received her doctorate in business and leadership from the University of Michigan, Master of Education from the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Education from Bowling Green State University.
George is the Executive Director of The Mansfield Art Center and an active community leader of the arts. Under George’s leadership, the Mansfield Art Center is beginning construction of a new education wing and event pavilion. He has an extensive background as a professional artist and arts educator, with an MFA from Wichita State University and his BFA from Florida Atlantic University, Washington State University and Memphis Academy of Art. George has been a Visiting Artist at several universities and taught Studio Arts and Art History at Findlay University. He has served on the Ohio Designer Craftsmen Board of Directors and is the Director of the Boston Mills ArtFest. His pieces have been in exhibits all over the world and many are currently in fine art collections not only in the United States, but in Italy, Israel, South Africa, Canada and Mexico.
